We are delighted to be recruiting for an IT Support Analyst to join a proactive IT support team based in Blackpool, supporting their 60 internal users, and dealing with general IT support queries.

The main responsibilities include prioritising user requirements, overseeing system upgrades, and researching new tools. In this role, you should be highly analytical and able to understand business needs. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential. End-user support and customer-centricity are at the forefront of the role.

The role will be conducted from their office in Blackpool. However, the initial training with be in Skelmersdale at their HQ

The main Duties & Responsibilities expected from the IT Support Analyst will be:

  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Pick up tickets from the IT helpdesk platform and ensure they are responded to within the operational level agreement between the IT function and the business
  • Escalate tickets to the development or business analyst functions as appropriate
  • Monitor IT systems proactively to ensure they are maintained in good working order
  • Responsible for checking and ensuring daily backups have been completed
  • Monitoring system security and patching levels
  • Design efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs
  • Contact center telephony administration • Gather feedback from end-users about system Performance
  • Plan and oversee projects (e.g., upgrades, hardware/software installations)
  • Provide advice and technical training
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and developments
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PC errors.
  • Be available for on-call support as needed.

Experience and skills required from the IT Support Analyst will be:

  • Experience with Windows desktop and server environments
  • Windows server administration skills
  • Experience with cloud services (Office 365, Microsoft Azure) a plus
  • Problem-solving attitude and aptitude
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • An ability to Take ownership
  • Experience in the following technologies is desirable –
  1. Windows desktop operating systems
  2. Windows Server
  3. Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
  • IIS Administration
