Software Development Manager (Migration to .Net) home-baased, UK
To lead a small development team of 2 to deliver a migration of a legacy ERP system onto a modern platform. The Tech Stack is: .Net, Angular, and Oracle database. The role ideally requires a hands-on approach and can be home-based/remote working, but within the UK for occasional customer visits.
Responsibilities and Accountability of the Software Development Manager
Guide, coach, and mentor team through best practice and Coding standards along with quality and compliance standards.
Overall responsibility for delivery of multiple projects to a satisfactory conclusion on time and within budget
Manage the existing team of 6 Developers through to recruiting up to a team of 30 over a 5 year product growth plan.

Liaise with QA team to ensure all testing procedures are adhered to and are robust
Able to understand projects and tasks from a high business level through to technical detail
Manage and lead the developers in a dynamic, fast=paced environment
A strategy for the roadmap of future solutions and technology
The technical skills/experience required
Development Management/Leadership experience or skills (Essential)
- 6 years’ experience within development management or leadership role. Less experience will be considered if the correct skills are possessed.
Good database knowledge of Oracle or SQL:
Web Development – (any combination is preferable)
Entity Framework Core
.NET WEB API 2.0 or similar experience with REST-based web services
Salary range, package, reward, hours, location
- Salary region of £50-75k
- Monday to Friday and remote
- 25 days holiday + bank holiday
