My client is the family-owned progressive leader in providing innovative software solutions to the UK pharmacy market. Our flagship PMR (Patient Medication Record) application is supported by a fully integrated portfolio – EPoS, Order Management, Central Fill, Head Office, robot automation - that future proofs the business application needs of any pharmacy.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:   The Field Engineer is responsible for on-site customer-facing effective installation and training. Including the maintenance of vehicle stock with accurate administration and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Quickly reacting to customers needs with travel to customer locations.

·         To maximise First Time Fix rate on all calls attended.

·         To maximise the number of repairs per day.

·         Accurate completion and timely submission of all relevant paperwork.

·         To maintain equipment to the customers expectations and quality standards.

·         Carry out installation to the customer’s expectations and quality standards.

·         To adhere to all relevant work instructions and procedures.

·         To maintain van stock levels, good housekeeping and safe working practices.

·         Adhere to periodic stock counts as requested.

·         To adhere to all Operating Procedures and Work Instructions in compliance to ISO 9001 and 27001.

·         Professional and considerate customer liaison, and building a good relationship.

·         Reconnaissance and survey of sites prior to work.

·         Any other duties as and when required.

 

KNOWLEDGE expected from the PC Field Engineer

Customer liaison and communication techniques.

On site technical problem solving.

·         Service and support environment.

Networking understanding for WAN’s & LAN’s.

Understanding of all PC component parts.

Experience working with peripheral’s such as Printers, Scanners, Cash Drawers.

    

The COMPETENCIES expected from the PC Field Egnieer:

 

·         Communication skills.

The job requires dealing face to face with customers and almost every other department in the company.   A professional, helpful and can-do attitude is needed, and the ability to build good relationships with customers.

The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, internal and external.  Communicate with peers on a daily basis for experience and assistance in our daily role of supporting our wide range of customers in and around the UK..

  •  Compliance.

Ability to act in compliance with organisational policy and procedure.

All Company personnel are required to act in accordance with ISO9001 accredited procedure and practice.  Changes to them must be carried out using the proper change control procedure.

·         UK Wide, Travel.

Willing to drive long distance and sometimes at short notice, with a flexible can-do attitude. 

Have and maintain a full UK driving licence.  Staying away on work maybe required due to the long distances.
