Description

The Key Responsibilities of the .Net Developer

  • Develop and maintain our internal cloud infrastructure.
  • Create and update structured documentation on our cloud product.
  • Collaboratively design, write, and review code.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of programming.
  • Troubleshoot and fix software bugs reported by users.
  • Manage the deployment of cloud products through our CI/CD process.
  • Communicate with our automation teams to gather requirements for developments.
  • Support client-side technical teams with product deployment.
  • Contribute to stand-ups and sprints.
  • Collaborate with our windows application, infrastructure, and client-facing teams on solutions where the technology overlaps.
  • Mentor junior developers in best practices.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute these ideas to internal R&D.

Location

  • Hybrid, 2-3 days in the office.
  • Able to commute to the office comfortably in Runcorn.

Team

  • The candidate will be part of our internal development team which is currently at 7 people.
  • On a day to day basis you will be part of the cloud development team which would be a subset of that.

Must haves

  • 3+ years experience with C# (.NET Core/.NET Framework/ASP.NET)
  • Strong experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud computing (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience with Docker (containerisation)
  • Experience with software development processes (scrum/agile/sprints/stand-ups)
  • Basic IT skills (could independently troubleshoot laptop issues, connect to VPNs, etc.)

Nice to haves

  • Experience with React/JavaScript
  • Experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) and UI architectural patterns (e.g. MVVM)
  • Experience with of CI/CD processes (Continuous integration/continuous deployment, TeamCity, Jenkins)
  • Experience communicating with customers or non-technical colleagues i.e. can comfortably translate non-technical to technical and vice versa.
  • Interest in tech news.

internal development team which is currently at 7 people. On a day-to-day basis, you will be part of the Windows application development team which is a subset of that (3 people) but there is a fair amount of crossover with the rest of the internal team and the client-facing side of the business.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
